Troop 30 Scoutmaster
Welcome to Troop 30! I'm honored to serve as your Scoutmaster and support you on your Scouting journey. Whether you're just starting out or working toward your Eagle rank, I'm here to help you develop leadership skills, build lasting friendships, and create unforgettable outdoor adventures.
Outside of scouting, I have worked in the computer security field for nearly three decades. Much of this work has been at the intersection of software and security, and also securing cloud infrastructure at scale. My career has taken me through the US federal government, academia, startups, and established tech companies. And I have a BS, MS, and PhD in computer science. I'm always happy to talk with scouts about related topics!
My scouting journey started as a youth where I grew up as a scout from kindergarten through high school. I returned to scouting as an adult and have come to deeply appreciate the program and the opportunties it creates for youth. I am an Eagle Scout and I also completed my Arrow of Light and religious emblem as a youth. As an adult I've enjoyed amazing training opportunities such as Wood Badge, the Developing Youth Leadership Conference (DYLC), and much more. As Scoutmaster, I'm here to support you, answer questions, and help you overcome challenges along the way.
