Troop Leadership Team

The scouts who lead Troop 30

What is the TLT?

The Troop Leadership Team (TLT) are the scouts that hold leadership positions across the troop. For most positions, scouts serve during a leadership term that runs either from October through April or April through October.

Serving on the TLT is how scouts fulfill the leadership requirement for Star, Life, and Eagle ranks. It is also one of the most valuable experiences Scouting offers — you will develop skills in communication, planning, and team leadership that will serve you well beyond Scouting.

The Patrol Leaders Council (PLC)

The Patrol Leaders Council (PLC)is a subset of the TLT that includes the SPL, ASPLs, Patrol Leaders, Troop Instructor, and Scribe. The PLC meets monthly during the school year to oversee the troop's activities and make decisions about the overall direction of the troop.

PLC meetings are mandatory for all PLC members. Scouts who cannot attend due to illness, school, family, church, sports, or club conflicts may be excused — please fill out the absence request form in advance.
