Submit the form to request your Scoutmaster Conference. Please allow 3–5 days for a response.

- •If you have not already done so, please enter your 3 Acts of Leadership in the Acts of Leadership Form. These “Acts” include things such as: leading an outing, giving a presentation at a Troop meeting, leading an activity or game at a Troop meeting, or being SPL for a Court of Honor. Serving in a leadership position does NOT count as an Act of Leadership. Note: Must have been performed while a First Class Scout.
- •Confirm that you have completed your Leadership Tracker for the leadership position you are counting for rank advancement. Be prepared to talk about those leadership acts and the leadership position(s) you held while a First Class Scout.
- •Make sure that your service hours are logged in your scout handbook. Be prepared to talk about your service project hours.
- •Review the note about Life Requirement #6 on the Life Conference page
Bring to the Conference
- •Wear FULL uniform: Scout shirt w/ patches, Scout pants/shorts, Scout socks, neckerchief, and closed-toe shoes. T30 vest not required.
- •Your scout handbook
- •A parent or other adult to stay with you the whole time
During the Conference
- •Acts of Leadership — Discuss your 3 “Acts of Leadership”
- •Scout Spirit — Discuss 4–6 points of Scout Spirit you have shown (from the Law, Oath, Slogan, Motto, Outdoor Code)
- •Merit Badges — What was fun, what was hard, etc.
- •Service Project Hours — Discuss your completed service hours
- •Leadership position — What went well, possible improvements
- •General discussion — What are you liking, not liking about Scouts? Ideas for improvement.
Acts of Leadership for Star
At Star rank, acceptable Acts of Leadership include:
- •Leading a game at a troop meeting
- •Giving a presentation at a troop meeting
- •Leading an activity at a campout
- •Being SPL for a Court of Honor
